Decatur Tackle Football

Parks & Recreation will offer Tackle Football for youth in grades 5-7 for the Fall 2025 season. The 5th/6th and 7th-grade teams will join the Georgia Middle School Athletic Association League (GMSAA). Players will compete with others of similar age and size. The youth football league sets and enforces strict age and weight guidelines to minimize the risk of injuries. Our coaches will emphasize proper heads-up tackling techniques and other safety-focused tactics for playing the game.

Registration is managed in CommunityPass.

• Helmet

• Mouth Guard

• Shoulder pads

• Cup

• Practice pants

• Thigh, Hip and Knee Pads

• Cleats

Rental equipment is available on a first come, first serve basis for $65 with a $200 security deposit.
